One of our clients came to us with the following FastPass+ schedule for Easter Sunday:

  • Space Mountain for 3 at 1:00pm
  • Peter Pan for 4 at 5:00pm
  • Seven Dwarfs Mine Train for 4 at 8:00pm

Based on the actual wait times, the plan above would have saved them four hours of standby lines which is an awesome accomplishment on a holiday weekend. However, the biggest issue with the plan was the fact that the earliest that they could get a fourth FastPass+ was at 8pm.

Our concierge service began looking to improve the family’s selections on Saturday and found an 11:20am Space Mountain. The next morning at 9:30am, we booked a 12:30pm Peter Pan and ninety minutes later secured Seven Dwarfs at 3:25pm. Our concierge service had given the family an additional four and a half hours of FastPass+ availability without sacrificing the rides they originally selected.

Before they entered the park at noon, they swapped out Space Mountain for Pirates of the Caribbean at 1:40pm for all four of them, so their new plan looked like:

  • Peter Pan for 4 at 12:30pm
  • Pirates of the Caribbean for 4 at 1:40pm
  • Seven Dwarfs Mine Train for 4 at 3:25pm

The family informed us that the next ride they would like was Buzz Lightyear. After riding Peter Pan (70 minute standby), Pirates broke down which gave them an “Any Time” FastPass+ that could be redeemed for most other rides in Magic Kingdom. When this happened, we began searching for Buzz Lightyear and booked at 2:10pm return time.

They elected save the “Any Time” to ride Pirates later and proceeded to Buzz (45 minutes). At the point that they entered the Seven Dwarfs queue, the wait time was 105 minutes. Having redeemed four FastPass+ already, the decided to ride the family coaster again by waiting in standby.

While they were in line, we successfully booked overlapping return times for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at 5:00pm and 5:35pm. Before the return time for Thunder, they used their “Any Time” for Pirates (35 minutes) that had broken down earlier.

Immediately upon entering the Thunder Mountain line (50 minutes), we grabbed another pair of Mine Train FastPasses for 7:15pm and a pair of Space Mountain at 7:25pm. The plan was to let the kids ride Mine Train (still 105 minutes) a third time and attempt to get them Space Mountain passes with their parents immediately after. At 7:16pm, we obtained another pair of Space Mountain FastPass+ with a return time of 7:55pm allowing the family of four to ride together (70 minutes) before 8:00pm and give them plenty of time to make the fireworks and castle show.

The final FastPass+ plan that encompassed eight hours of park time was able to bypass eight hours of standby line time. Here’s the list of FastPass+ rides the family accomplished that day:

  • Peter Pan for 4 at 12:30pm
  • Buzz Lightyear for 4 at 2:10pm
  • Seven Dwarfs Mine Train for 4 at 3:25pm
  • Pirates of the Caribbean (any time) for 4 at 5:00pm
  • Big Thunder Mountain Railroad for 4 at 5:30pm (2 at 5:00pm and 2 at 5:35pm)
  • Seven Dwarfs Mine Train for 2 at 7:15pm
  • Space Mountain for 4 at 7:50pm (2 at 7:25pm and 2 at 7:55pm)

With the time they saved, they were able to also:

  • Seven Dwarfs for a third time
  • Haunted Mansion
  • Shopping
  • LOTS of family photos and selfies
  • and more…
